What is FIRST® Forward?

The Grand Blanc High School Robotics Team works diligently to continuously endorse FIRST® locally in innovative ways, and aim to grow their global impact with new, creative initiatives.   Additionally, the Team takes great pride in promoting ethical behavior and acting with sensitivity toward social, cultural, economic and environmental matters in a collaborative effort to have a positive impact in society and the FIRST® Community. 

FIRSt® Philanthropy

The main focuses of the Team include service within the community and promoting social responsibility.  The Team is constantly looking for more opportunities to improve the lives of people in Grand Blanc, its surrounding neighborhoods and places as far away as St. Louis.

FIRST® Focus

The EngiNERDs take pride in participating in demonstrations in their local community at nearly any place that will have them, as well as exhibiting their robot for Sponsors, schools, daycares and churches. Team 2337 believes that transforming a culture starts at home, and grows outwards to educate others.

FIRST® Philosophy

Passing on what we have learned to other FIRST® Teams is a main priority for Team 2337. The EngiNERDs are involved in and founding members of many organizations that are dedicated to spreading the philosophy of FIRST®. Team 2337 continuously develops innovative ways to spread the word of FIRST® and seek to involve others both inside and outside of the FIRST® community.

FIRST®  Fabrication

Students and Mentors work together to determine a game-specific strategy, design, prototype, fabricate and assemble the Team's robot each year. All of the ideas are Student-driven, and Mentors assist in the build process by offering years of knowledge and experience in "real-world" engineering.

FIRST® Framework

The EngiNERDs don't claim to be the originators of everything they do. In fact, FIRST® is all about inspiration, and Team 2337 is known for being inspired by many of the great Teams in the FIRST® community, and implementing similar logistical planning methods. This framework is what makes The EngiNERDs unique, and ensures that the Team runs smoothly.
