Grand Blanc Homecoming ParadeEach year, the EngiNERDs build a float to display the Team's robot. Students from all grade levels work together to put together a rolling, partial field.
This year, the Admiral strolled down Saginaw Street and shot some hoops for the crowd. You could hear the NERDs shouting our Team's "Math Cheer" from blocks away, and a "NERD alert!" |
"Walk the Walk" For AutismIn order to raise awareness for Autism, the Grand Blanc Robotics Team, along with the Admiral, participated in the Genesee County Autism Association's "Walk the Walk" for Autism.
The Admiral played catch with kids at the event carnival, and many children were given the opportunity to drive the robot. |

Elementary School VisitsStudents at Myers Elementary school and Brendel Elementary in Grand Blanc had an opportunity to see The Admiral in action during an assembly. Several students were able to operate the robot, and everyone got an up-close look at all of the EngiNERDs awesome engineering. |
NERDo and NERDetteThanks to all of of our friends, NERDo and NERDette have been able to travel to lots of interesting places! Along their journeys, NERDo and NERDette's friends have taken pictures to document their travels and have been gracious enough to share them with us! Just click on the images on the left to see photos of their voyages!

Sloan Auto FairSpreading the word of FIRST can happen anywhere, including auto shows! The EngiNERDs display their robot at the Sloan Auto Fair each June. Along with other area teams, the Grand Blanc High School Robotics Team allows onlookers to take a try at the controls, while telling them about what the FIRST Robotics Competition is all about.

FIRST in Michigan YouTubeAt each event that The EngiNERDs attend, a Team representative records each match and instantly uploads it to the FIRST in Michigan YouTube Channel. This allows Teams to replay their matches, and gives viewers all over the world the ability to experience FIRST, no matter what time of the day it is.
