FIRST Team: 2337, the EngiNERDs Where NERDo Visited: Team 2337's Build Facility Location: Grand Blanc, Michigan, USA NERDo's Story: Lucas took NERDo to the Back Room of the EngiNERDs' shop and told him how anyone can help build robots! Lucas was only 9 days old when he went to his first FIRST Kickoff, and helped build this robot! Anyone can learn about STEM, no matter how young they are! |

FIRST Team: 68, Truck Town Thunder Where NERDo Visited: Truck Town Thunder's Shop Location: Ortonville, Michigan, USA NERDo's Story: NERDo shared of all of his adventures so far since he joined FIRST Team 2337. He shared how sharing with teams is important. He also shared how he would like to transform the culture in schools across the world! He really liked how Brandon High School offers a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Program at the school. He had a great time at the Truck Shop. |

FIRST Team: 2337, The EngiNERDs Where NERDo Visited: Home of Mitya the Kitten and Mitya's caretakers Location: Grand Blanc, Michigan, USA NERDo's Story: Here, NERDo had an opportunity to speak to Mitya the Kitten about FIRST. Mitya, being the kind, caring young kitten he is, listened intently to NERDo's words about Gracious Professionalism. NERDo learned about some good friends of his who would love to hear about inspiration for technology and Gracious Professionalism. NERDo is quite happy and plans to visit some of the people Mitya the Kitten recommended. |

FIRST Team: 2337, The EngiNERDs Where NERDo Visited: Milford Proving Grounds Location: Milford, Michigan, USA NERDo's Story: NERDo explained the the need for Safety in everything we do. Safety is the over riding factor in FIRST. NERDo checks out the new Crash Avoidance Front Camera Safety System in the GMC Terrain. As you can see it will warning you the driver if you depart from your lane unintentionally or you have a vehicle in your path and if you are too close to that vehicle ahead. |

FIRST Team: 2337, The EngiNERDs Where NERDo Visited: The Home Depot Location: Flint, Michigan, USA NERDo's Story: After being initially (and jovially) photo bombed by an identified, spirited employee at Home Depot, NERDo sought the opportunity to seek out the individual to share the purpose of the photo. It was an ideal opportunity to introduce the mission of FIRST®, and inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership. |

She went into great detail of all the projects the FIRST Robotics Team does and how hard it is to create and engineer a robot. |

FIRST Team: 2337, The EngiNERDs Where NERDo and NERDette Visited: Miz Linda's Kitchen Location: Burton, Michigan, USA NERDo and NERDette's Story: NERDo and NERDette helped Miz Linda bake cookies for the EngiNERDs' Students and Mentors to accompany a hearty, homemade dinner. NERDo and NERDette told Miz Linda about how eating a good meal and staying hydrated during build season is very important to everyone's safety. Miz Linda taught NERDo and NERDette that it's okay to have a treat (like cookies!) occasionally, too! |
