"Strategy Dictates Design"

Each year, Team 2337 uses strategy to dictate the design of their robot. Rather than letting design constraints limit the functionality of the machine, the EngiNERDs determine individual game strategies, and arrange them by priority. The Team takes into consideration time restrictions, available resources, and manpower when determining in which order the items fall. Coming up with these strategies can be difficult, but with some dedication and a realistic point of view, the challenge turns from daunting to inspiring.
Throughout the build-season, the EngiNERDs refer to the categorized game strategies when making decisions regarding the design and construction of the robot. Continually consulting and reviewing these priorities is a key to success for Team 2337, and assists in keeping the Students and Mentors on track. |

2012 Strategy Workshop
To help Teams develop a game strategy that is adapted for their specific abilities and needs, the EngiNERDs are hosting an interactive, hands-on workshop the day after FIRST Kickoff. Veteran and Rookie Teams are invited to attend, and will gain valuable knowledge about strategy, and have the opportunity to build their Kit of Part (KoP) Chassis.

What:
A workshop designed to help teams develop a game-specific strategy for their 2012 FIRST Robotics Competition Robot, and to assist teams in creating a fully functional, moving chassis. Want to attend the Workshop?The EngiNERDs' "Strategy Dictates Design" workshop is open to the Students, Coaches, and Mentors of any Teams who wish to participate. An online pre-order lunch service is available here.
To ensure that everyone in attendance has the materials required for a successful workshop, it is required that all teams RSVP by Wednesday, January 4th. |
