Grade: Senior Section: Mechanical Leadership: Mechanical Section Student Leader I joined the team because it sounded exciting and I always wanted to be a engineer. My favorite part of being on the team is all of the friends I have met and the experience that I have gained. My favorite memory of being on the team is the feeling of winning a competition after putting so much effort into the robot. When I'm not at robotics, I like to hang out with friends. |

Grade: Senior Section: Mechanical, Public Relations Leadership: Communications Section Leader In middle school, I was part of a FIRST Lego League team and I saw a FRC competition and knew that when I entered high school that I wanted to be on the robotics team. My favorite parts of the team are all the people that I have met, working with mechanical tools, and updating the team website. My favorite memory was winning our first competition at the Ann Arbor District my sophomore year. When I am not at robotics, I like to travel and do many things outside such as hiking, camping, knee-boarding, and driving sea-doos. |

Grade: Senior Section: Mechanical and Public Relations I originally joined the team to learn more about engineering. As I've advanced, my favorite part of being on the team is visualizing and designing a brilliant robot from start to finish. My favorite memory from my time on the team was studying the fantastic design and engineering of the world's best robots at the 2011 FIRST Championship. When I'm not at robotics, I take part in the Countywide and Grand Blanc Youth Advisory Committees, captain the GBHS Quiz Bowl Team, practice the art of Photography (mostly with robots), read frequently about Psychology and Life, and Quip. Often. |

Grade: Senior Section: Programming Leadership: Sensors and Programming Section Leader At first, I joined the team because of the pressure of a few close friends, but it only took a few meetings for me to become addicted to the close-knit atmosphere and vastly interesting opportunities that team 2337 presents. My favorite part of robotics has to be, without a doubt, the 12-hour long debug sessions with a few close friends conducted on the Premier shop floor. I have two favorite memories of being on the team. My entire trip to St. Louis last year was fantastic, but the best part for me was the serendipitous double-tube autonomous that our robot scored in our last qualifications match. My other memory is I will also always cherish the few days that I spent helping team 3535 streamline their robot's programming at the Ann Arbor competition and State Competition. Music has always been extremely important for me, and outside of robotics, I enjoy singing, playing piano, and, most of all, playing saxophone. It seems like the technical skills I've learned on team 2337 follow me everywhere I go, and I often find myself writing programs in LabVIEW, C, C++, and assembler outside of robotics. |

Grade: Senior Section: Mechanical Leadership: End Effector Section Leader I joined the team my freshman year as a way to explore the concepts of engineering and design as prospective career paths. I joined because I thought engineering was cool, but the best part of being on the team is standing behind the driver station wall and the crazy focus that comes as soon as a match starts. There's something unforgettable about winning the team's first district competition, in Ann Arbor in 2010, but, more than that, my best memory was standing on the field nearly in tears as Jim Zondag read the judge's description of the Chairman's Award-winning team and knowing that, at the end, it would be "2337" that he called out to receive the award. When I'm not building robots or winning with that robot, I enjoy tweeting, shooting photography, playing my guitar(s), singing, studying like it's my job, over-analyzing anything and everything that comes to mind, jamming out to classic rock and/or country music, expanding my vocabulary, reading. |

Grade: Senior Section: Programming, Public Relations Leadership: Team Captain, Scouting and Autonomous Section Leader I joined the team because it sounded like an excellent opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills, and really explore career options. And a trip to Georgia sounded awesome. My favorite part of robotics is being able to work with people in a semi-professional manner during meetings, but forge excellent relations with them at the same time. Some of my favorite memories are the 12 hour bus rides to Worlds on a bus with far too many smelly high school students, the countless LAN parties, and hours of swimming with the NERDs. There are still many more beyond this list of memories. I like fake TV fireplaces, short walks to my mini-fridge to get Diet Coke, pwning noobs at Call of Duty, and writing Python code in my basement... Ladies. |
